Powering Lifesaving Behavioral Healthcare Across Memphis and Shelby County
Our Purpose
The Alliance Foundation (AHS of Greater Memphis Foundation, Inc.) is the 501(c)(3) philanthropic arm dedicated to securing vital charitable support for Alliance Healthcare Services, the region's largest comprehensive non-profit behavioral health provider.
Our primary mission is to assist, advance, and strengthen Alliance Healthcare Services in its mission to render quality care in the delivery of services.
We believe that high-quality, compassionate mental health and substance use treatment is a basic human right. Through community philanthropy, corporate partnerships, and foundation grants, we ensure that every person in Memphis and Shelby County can access life-saving care when they need it most, regardless of their financial resources or ability to pay.

Understanding How Philanthropy Powers Local Healthcare
Think of The Alliance Foundation as the engine behind the care. Much like national model fundraising arms that power world-class hospitals, The Alliance Foundation raises the philanthropic resources needed to build modern facilities, expand innovative treatment programs, and sustain emergency crisis services that government funding alone cannot cover.
While Alliance Healthcare Services delivers direct clinical care across 18 specialized locations, The Alliance Foundation marshals community generosity to make that care possible.
Our Commitment to Memphis:
No individual or family in Shelby County seeking emergency behavioral health support is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
